This site is no where near complete... might never be... but I want to let people know now why this site was created and what my vision for it is.

Basically we have created this site because we have a small group of friends that occasionally game together in the greater Cincinnati area.  Some from my house... some across the internet etc.

When I first started this group up I surfed the web and found very little info on "LAN Parties" if you can call what we do really a "LAN Party" it's not really a party environment... it's just some people hanging out... maybe with snacks.  I had to find stuff to do together... and on a budget with older hardware.. something most the sites I DID find pretty much refused to cover... if it wasn't a game from within the last year requiring a very high end PC... odds are they didn't mention it.

Over time me and my buddies have found some games that are either free or so old they might as well be... and some modifications etc that improve them.  We also expanded to a few more internet people (buddies from work etc... not REAL internet people... just people not in my basement that we happen to know.)  Because of this the situation has grown more "complex" and I can't simply install these things for them or hand them a CD... sometime's it's one of my buddies friends... or a relative... people I rarely ever see or maybe never met.

Also once things get rolling I need to tell the "internet" people what game we are in and what name and IP address we are using on the server.

So as time has gone on I have done more research... each time thinking "there have to be other people in this situation... right?"

My conclusion is... there are people in this situation... and we just don't know each other... no one is talking about it and there currently wasn't even a place to talk about it.   So while I don't consider myself and my friends "experts" on small "LAN Parties" I feel we have enough to share what we have learned with everyone since our competition is... well... nearly non-existent.

We have a couple web developers amongst us... BUSY ones... but they are here... they have more plans for the site than I do but I don't want to hype it all up in case they don't get the free time to take care of things... we will announce projects one at a time when they decide to start.

For now just consider this site to be a discussion site for

1.) Cheap or free network games.. links.. reviews.. etc.  GOOD ones... I will maintain the list... I don't need/want a list of ALL of them.
2.) Patches and improvements to these games
3.) Small groups of people in Cincy that game that want a place to talk to each other.
4.) Servers that we use with our groups.
5.) Applications and instructions to make these things go smoother
6.) Interesting hardware arrangements/gear

So check back on occasion and see if I have some new info for you...
